 Here is your opportunity to experience the thrill of Metropolitan Opera bass baritone Mikhail Svetlov in an intimate setting with outstanding acoustics, performing opera favorites as well as Broadway and popular songbook selections.

 Saturday afternoon, February 10th at  4 pm

Mikhail Svetlov is one of the brightest representatives of the bass vocal tradition. He has a great command of vocal technique, is an amazing actor of both comedy and drama, of tragic image and buffoonery, as well as pop and Broadway selections.  Mr. Svetlov was nominated for a Grammy Award, was also honored with two Telerama Awards in France, and is a winner of the Viotti International Competition in Italy.

A principal soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow and New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Mr. Svetlov has also given magnificent opera performances in many of the world’s most prestigious venues: Covent Garden, Carnegie Hall, Arena di Verona, Houston Grand Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Deutsche Opera Berlin, Teatro Colon and many others. 

Svetlov’s roles have included:  Boris Godunov in Boris Godunov at the Bolshoi, Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin at Florida Grand Opera, Mephistopheles in Faust at Bellas Artes, Zaccaria in Nabucco at Teatro Felice, Ferrando in Il Trovatore at Salzburg Landes Teater, Mendoza in Betrothal in a Monastery at Teatro Alla Scala,  Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Opera de Montreal. Recent works include Meistersingers and Ariadne Auf Naxos at the Met, Zaccaria in Verdi’s Nabucco in Erfurt, Germany, Rachmaninoff's Miserly Knight in Boston, and Rossini's Mass in Washington DC.

Enneagram Workshop

Curious about the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is an ancient system of human development with deep roots

in sacred tradition. Understanding and using the system can give us insight

into why we think and behave the way we do, and it can greatly enhance our

compassion for ourselves and others. Rev. Dr. Anne Coffman is a retired UCC

pastor and Certified Enneagram Teacher and Practitioner in the Narrative

Tradition.

She will be teaching us the basics of this amazing system

The Reverend Dr. Anne Coffman retired as Senior Minister from Wilton Congregational Church in 2022. She has also served in ministry at Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, the Congregational Church of New Canaan, and more. 

After retiring from pulpit ministry, the Reverend Dr. Coffman has turned her full attention to now working as a Spiritual Director and also as a Certified Enneagram Teacher. We are SO fortunate that she will be LEADING our first ever Enneagram workshop on Saturday, October 28th, from 9:30-12:30!
